What Sherpal stores
- Sherpal only stores the goals, routines, steps, progress, timer and session history, reminders, profile labels, account name, and related settings you create in the app on your device.
- No user-created planning or progress data is stored outside your device as part of normal app use.
How Sherpal uses data
- Sherpal uses your on-device data to run the app's core features, including goals, routines, progress tracking, timers, reminders, profiles, and settings.
- Any limited backend or support data is used only for the specific feature that requires it, such as basic session counting or handling a support request you choose to send.
Limited third-party services
- Sherpal may use a third-party backend service to create a limited anonymous account record and a basic session count record, together with the account name you choose to use with that record.
- Sherpal may use Firebase / Firestore only when you choose to send a support request or support email through the app.
- Sherpal does not use these services to store your full goals, routines, or day-to-day planning data as part of normal app use.
Data handling
- Data stored by Sherpal as part of normal app use remains on your device and is handled through your device's own storage and security controls.
- When you choose to use support or limited backend features, the relevant data is handled through the third-party service used for that feature.
Retention and deletion
- Your app data remains on your device until you delete it, remove profiles, clear app storage, restore over it, or uninstall the app.
- Local backup files remain under your control on your device. Some local backup files may be automatically cleaned up after up to 14 days.
- You can delete your Sherpal data by deleting profiles in the app, clearing the app's storage in your device settings, deleting local backup or export files, or uninstalling the app.
- If you want support-request data deleted from support systems, contact us using the email below.
